Constructed for John Jay, the building was used for
housing horses and storing carriages and tack until the early 20th
century. By 1917, the structure had become an automobile garage. It
still contains several horse stalls and a tack room. Plans are underway
for the building rehabilitation and a multi-purpose facility used by
visitors and school children.
