BARN DANCE & COUNTRY FAIR WEEKEND

* Friends of John Jay Homestead recognize that there is a conflict with the date of our Barn Dance, which this year falls on Yom Kippur.  Our Barn Dance and Country Fair have for many years been set on the second weekend after Labor Day.  We concluded then that trying to change those dates in a given year to avoid conflicts only created a new set of conflicts.  But we know this is an imperfect solution, and we regret that so many of our wonderful supporters will be unable to attend the Barn Dance on Saturday.  We thank those who asked us to explain our choices in person; we invite anyone else who wants a fuller discussion to call the Friends office; and we look forward to seeing everyone at the Country Fair on Sunday!
